Inu-T

Inu-T (いぬてぃ) is one of the personified Windows NTs on Nijiura.

Overview

First Appearance1996/12/10 (Release date of Windows NT 4.0 in Japan)
System PersonifiedWindows NT 4.0

Inu-T (いぬてぃ) is the daughter of DekaMaster who is separated from NT-Mama, her mother, and the sister of 2k-tan and the others.

Because she is a dog, she is not allowed in the house, and when she tries to enter, 2k-tan prevents her.

The reason she is a dog comes from the romaji representation of enu ti, this sounds a lot like inu ti, and inu (いぬ) is the Japanese word for dog.

She does not know that she is a father to DekaMaster, but she recognizes him as someone who improves NT-Mama's mood when he comes to the house.

Together with Konton-san and Akuma Gaoru, she had formed the Inu-Inu-Dan (a group of dogs), of which she is the leader. The battle between the Inu-Inu-Dan, who try to enter the house using various means such as fraud, tricks, large weapons, and even supernatural phenomena, against 2k-tan, who try to stop them by any means possible, is not only fierce but has become a kind of art form.

The kennel in the yard where she lives has a basement that is a more splendid secret base than the main house, but there is no indication that 2k-tan knows about it. It is also not clear why she would maintain such a huge facility while trying to break into 2k-tan's home, which is much smaller and far less well equipped.

The inuppy script was written as a parody of Snoopy, with CE as Woodstock.

History

When the doujin circle DejaVu independently created a NT design (a tongue-in-cheek character with pointed mechanical cat ears and purple hair) that looked a lot like 2k-tan. Inu-T was made into a OS Girl of Futaba against the NT design by DejaVu.

While the character was derived from NT-Tan, she is now the more mainstream character.

Appearance

Inu-T has blue or light purple hair, fluffy droopy dog ears, a dog's tail and a collar. Both the ears and tail have white at the ends. She usually wears gloves and boots shaped like paws, and colored blue to match her ears and tail. She also wears a yellow ribbon on her hair just like her mother and a sleeveless light blue one-piece.

Personality

Most depictions of Inu-T show her as a young girl, with an endearing dog-like attitude, with carefree, sweet and spunky traits, even if she is a bit simple-minded.

Her intelligence also varies widely from human-like to dog-like. She has almost no sense of shame and is always dressed up in unprotected (dangerous) outfits, making those around her feel uncomfortable.

Just like her intelligence she are two forms of speech that varies: one that speaks human language and one that does not.

The one that speaks human language basically walks on two legs, while the one that does not speak human language often walks on four legs. The intelligence quotient of the human-speaking variant is not so high.

Her cry is "wafuun" (わふーん), a dog whine when written in Japanese. She also ends her words with wafun (~わふん).

Relationships

Shitsuji-kun

While she and Shitsuji-kun are seen as an interspecies couple, some believe that subjectively they are simply in a predatory (as in the prey is food in a playful sense) relationship.

Overall they are friends that get along together but Inu-T does not know about Shitsuji-kun's crush on her.
