Overview
Color (色, iro), at least in English, is just the perceptions of the eye in relation to light. In Japanese kanji color means:
- A color or hue. One of the perceptions of the eye in relation to light.
- A beautiful face, a beautiful person. Color of appearance.
- The appearance of the face in which emotions are manifested, the color of the face. Used to describe a person's face, for example, lose color or show joyful expression.
- Relating to lust and love in old Japanese. In fact, the Chinese character for color (色, sè) is a hieroglyph for sexual activity, and this system is the original meaning of the word.
- The appearance that feels like it, a sign. Used to describe the feeling of autumn, the deep color of defeat, or the international color.
- Buddhist terminology. The object perceived by the sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and will). In particular, it is the object of ocular perception. Color is emptiness, emptiness is color.
