Overview

Light (光, hikari) is a brightness that shines. Something dazzling. In the natural sciences, it mainly refers to visible light, but may also include infrared and ultraviolet rays.

There has been a long debate over whether it is a particle or a wave, but it is now considered to be a quantum that has both properties, along with other elementary particles.

If we focus on the particle aspect, it is called a photon, whereas if we focus on the wave aspect, it is called a light wave.

As a pixiv tag, it is often attached to works depicting light, such as the sun or streetlights, which are characterized by a fantastic atmosphere.

It is also attached to works depicting characters named Light Yagami or Rami Nana-Hikari.
