Overview
Emerald Coast (エメラルドコースト Emerarudo Kōsuto) is an Action Stage in Sonic Adventure. It is set in a beautiful coral reef ocean and island.
It is the first stage you can play if you choose the Sonic storyline as well as in general as none of the other characters are playable at the start of the game.
It later appeared in Sonic Generations.
Features
Orca
A huge killer whale appears in the pier area in the first half of the stage. As soon as it passes the midway point, it chases Sonic at a tremendous speed. Touching it will only cause damage, but since the foothold is destroyed, there is a high probability that the player will be dropped directly into the sea and make a mistake. The dashboards are evenly spaced in this area, so unless you jump in the middle of the area, it is unlikely that it will catch up to you (Sonic).
Lighthouse
A huge lighthouse is located at the boundary between the first and second halves of the stage. The BGM changes when you enter the cave just ahead.
