Overview
Emerl (エメル, Emeru), formal name Gizoid (ギゾイド, Gizoido) as given by the Fourth Great Civilization was a powerful robot made 4,000 years ago by them. A millennia later the ultimate combat weapon was unearthed Gerald Robotnik. The name Emerl was given by Sonic because it was powered by Chaos Emeralds.
Abilities
Emerl has the ability to copy the techniques of his opponents by observation. When he possess one Chaos Emerald, he is still unable to speak, and when he captures two Chaos Emeralds, he can finally speak simple words.
In Sonic Chronicles, other Gizoids appears as an enemy. They also copy special moves. Also, an enhanced type appears. There is also a brief mention of Emerl.
