Japanese cuisine (日本料理) refers to a dish that is developed uniquely in Japan.
Japanese cuisine (日本料理, Nihon ryōri), most of the time, it is used to mean the same thing as Japanese food.
The difference is that takoyaki, okonomiyaki, curry rice, ramen, etc. are rarely called "Japanese food," but are sometimes called "Japanese cuisine". In other words, "Japanese cuisine" can include teppanyaki dishes and Japanese dishes derived from Chinese and Western cuisines, in addition to Japanese food.
