    Ken Akamatsu (赤松健), pen name Awa Mizuno (水野亜和) is a Japanese mangaka and politician from Tokyo. He was born on July 5, 1968 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture and was raised in Tokyo. He is best known as the author of Love Hina and Negima! Magister Negi Magi.


    As a politician he became of the Liberal Democratic Party in 2022 where he is a vocal advocate for protecting freedom of expression in manga and anime.
