Overview

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a game bundle and remaster of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil which was suddenly announced at the Nintendo Direct on February 10, 2022. In Japan it is known as Kaze no Klonoa 1&2 Encore (風のクロノア1&2アンコール, Kaze no Kuronoa 1&2 Ankōru) and as such uses the Japanese title as the tag for this remaster on pixiv.

It was released in July 2022 for Microsoft Windows, Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, for the franchise's 25th anniversary.

Additional Elements

A difficulty setting was added. This changes the maximum strength, the amount of damage, and the range of the Wind Bullet. In easy mode, the number of remaining shots is set to ∞ and the player can retry as many times they want.

Cutscenes now have the ability to fast forward or long press to skip.

The early pre-order bonus for both the package and download versions of the game comes with a costume that can be changed out of Klonoa's regular uniform.

Note that the Xbox version is not sold in a packaged version in some regions (e.g., Japan and North America are download only, while the UK sells it packaged).

There is a pixel filter that produces pixelated image quality, which can be optionally switched.

The Digital Deluxe Edition and the additional purchase of the Deluxe Bundle include the standard edition with the addition of a digital artbook, soundtrack, and DLC for a Joka and Tat masked costumes.

The company has also added Bandai Namco collaboration costumes, including Pac-Man from Pac-Man, Don Wada from Taiko: Drum Master, and The Prince costume from Katamari.

Major Changes and Additions

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile & Wii ①

Door to Phantomile is built off the Wii version but new models were made to look like the PS1 designs. Ghadius did not have this.
The only voice lines in the custscenes uses the Phantomile language of the PS1 while the Wii voice lines are used in-game.
Addition of a support mode that existed in second game. Support is provided by Hupo.
Since it's built on the Wii version, vision (level) select is available from the beginning, and after clearing a vision, the player is taken to the vision select screen (in the PS1 version, after clearing a vision, the player is automatically taken to the next vision, and vision select is finally available after the ending).
The Reverse Mode, as well as hidden stages and other elements that existed in the Wii version are gone.
The timing of Klonoa's "wahoo!" at the title call is slightly earlier.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil ②

Costumes can now be changed.
The outlines of models where removed with now a subtle cel shaded look.
After the ending, all cutscenes in the game can now be viewed in the Momett House, including those that couldn't be replayed previously.
