Overview
This page is about the musical artists who are composing and performing background music for Splatoon on Wii U, including those appearing in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3.
The background music in this work is supposed to be performed by fictional artists, and the genres and instruments vary greatly from band to band, with offline modes such as Hero Mode featuring artists who do not appear in online battles. Online mode songs are set up so that "players are battling while playing popular songs," while other songs are "heard in the mix of songs being played in each field".
In addition, festival-specific music is played at Splatfest by Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut.
Although only some of the units, including the above three groups, appear in the game, illustrations and various settings can be seen on the official Twitter feed, the original soundtrack, and the Inkopolis Illustrated (ハイカラウォーカー, Haikara Uōkā, lit. HaikaraWalker) collection of setting materials. Also, advertisements and logo stickers are placed casually in the game, so it is fun to look for them in recon mode and other places.
