Overview
Mephiles the Dark (闇のメフィレス Yami no Mefiresu, lit. "Mephiles of Darkness") is the main antagonist of Sonic '06. He appeared before Silver in the future world and manipulate him into believing that Sonic was the cause of the devastation of the future world and that peace would be restored in the future if he went to the past and killed him.
There is a reason why he looks like Shadow and uses the same Japanese first person pronoun boku (僕) as Shadow, and the story in the Shadow Episode describes the fate of the two.
