Obanai Iguro is one of the top hashira within the demon slaye corp as the serpent hashira.

Appearance編集

In the series, Obanai Iguro is portrayed as a short-statured young man with a pale skin complexion similar to a white snake. Obanai also possesses heterochromia where his right eye is yellow while his left is turquoise. He is also half-blind, being only able to see through his right eye.

Obanai covers up his mouth due to childhood trauma where he was being forcefully cut to make his face resemble that of a snake.

Background編集

Prior to his life as the serpent hashira, Obanai was living as an eventual sacrifice for a serpent demon that helped his thief clan with stealing fortunes from those who were killed by demon. Obanai lived in awful conditions, being excessively fed with rich food alongside with poor ventilation in his cage that make him sick.

When Obanai turned twelve the serpent had members of the clan to cut his mouth wider to resemble herself more. Essentially marking OBanai as her own.

Eventually Obanai managed to escape and was saved by Shinjuro Rengoku, the former flame hashira. Obanai later joined the demon corp and became the serpent hashira.
