Ore (俺, おれ, オレ) is one of the first-person pronouns used by men, and in the past was also used by women. It was and still is a dainty-sounding first-person pronoun.
Ore (俺, おれ, オレ), although it is now considered a male first-person pronoun, until the Edo period, there were many female users as well.
This is believed to be due to the fact that the culture of expressing gender in the first-person was not deeply rooted in Japan, and that ore (俺) itself originated from the accent of the neutral word onore (オノレ).
