The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) or 대한민국 공군 in Korean and 大韓民國空軍 in Japanese is the main air arm of South Korea.
History
The ROKAF originally was founded in 1949 but didn't expand significantly until the Korean War, which led to US deliveries of the F-51D Mustang.
