Overview
Running Cirno (走るチルノ) is a strange video by Niconico user, 84yen. The video depicts a character like Cirno from Touhou Project running with her face always facing the camera with big black eyes and a blank expression.
During the running she leaves a trail of more running Cirnos sometimes with separable head, forms of vibration and other unintelligible things.
The animation was done within the MMD program and is set to "Over The Ice" by The Field. Other than the animation there has been many derivative works of Running Cirno (see Running ___ Series).
The submission was made in December 2009.
No one would have expected it to evolve and return years later.
Over The Ice
Like stated before the song used within the video is "Over The Ice" by Axel Willner, who goes by the moniker The Field.
The music itself is very monotonous, looping several times and fading out, but it is characterized by a floating sensation in the brain (according to the author). Some people seem to want to refuse to even listen to it (according to the author's research).
