The British Aerospace Sea Harrier is a naval version of the Harrier. Like the original Harrier, it was originally developed by Hawker Siddeley; however by the time the first prototype flew, the company had merged into British Aerospace.
The Sea Harrier saw its first and most well known action with the Royal Navy in the Falklands War in 1982. During the war, they shot down 20 Argentine aircraft with zero losses on in air to air combat for the Sea Harriers. Sea Harriers were also operated by the Indian Navy between 1983 and 2016.
