Overview
The Sega Saturn (セガサターン Sega Satān) is a fifth generation home video game console developed and released by Sega that lasted from 1994 to 2000. In Japan, Sega's video game console was at one time a close competitor to the PlayStation.
Overseas, however, it was a drag on sales, with Sega's own Mega Drive lagging behind.
In the end, it became the lowest-selling Sega hardware in the world market.
