Personality
The lone wolf of the MILLION STARS, Shiho is in many ways similar to Shizuka, from their cold and stoic looks, their harsh treatment towards the Producer, and even down to their family problems.
Shiho wants to work alone or at least doesn’t want to rely on others if she can help it. Early on, she sees the other girls as nothing more than rivals and thinks their making friends as foolish, often getting annoyed by silly idols like Akane and attempts to befriend her. However, she begins to defrost and view the other members of 765 Pro as family after they treat her kindly. Despite having clashed with Kana in the movie, the two became very close. Despite Shiho's cold exterior, occasionally she notices the air of tension she's created and tries to ease the mood by cracking a joke; however, her jokes are often ridiculous or don't make sense, but she is nonetheless able to make people laugh, if only because they're shocked to hear Shiho saying something so silly.
Similar to Shizuka, Shiho's personality is most likely caused by family problems, but in her case it came from a lack of a fatherly presence since early childhood. It’s unclear what happened to her father, but his absence forced Shiho to help her busy mother take care of her little brother, which made her used to doing things by herself.
Shiho became an idol to get a job to support her family and dreams of being able to take them on a trip one day, or letting her mother eat out without having to worry about the price or even being able to surprise her brother with gifts. She wants to help out her mother, however she hopes one day she can stay at home and spend more time with Shiho's little brother while Shiho herself works instead. She takes her work very seriously because of this and even memorises her schedules to allow her daily jobs to progress more efficiently. She's often seen staring at her phone which sometimes makes her seems uninterested but in reality she talks to her mother, who always checks if her daughter is okay and isn't pushing herself too hard.
Shiho lost some of her childhood. She had to grow up and mature quickly to look after her brother. Her favourite pastime is looking at old picture books, and it's revealed she admired idols because they remind her of the princesses in these. Shiho also loves plushies so it's noted often that she's still a child that had to grow up a little too fast. Even though she acts distant, she does have a sweet side, although she mostly shows it to her little brother, who is named Riku (nicknamed Rikkun). If the Producer manages to gain her trust, she’ll show a little of it to him too. Her lack of a father figure present in her life made Shiho yearn for a substitute, which is reflected in her comment that she wants the Producer to act in a more father-like way like President Takagi.
