Green Hill Zone

Green Hill Zone (グリーンヒルゾーン) is a stage where Sonic first ran through.

Overview

Green Hill Zone (グリーンヒルゾーン Gurīn Hiru Zōn), also known as Green Hill (グリーンヒル Gurīn Hiru) is a grassy area with a view of the ocean that exists on the resource-rich South Island. Many of the terrains take advantage of Sonic's speed, such as half-pipe slopes and shuttle loops.

Appearances

Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)

The first stage in the first game that marked the debut of Sonic the Hedgehog, zone one is the fastest stage in the game. Also appeared in Sonic Mania. The Game Gear version also has a zone of the same name.

Sonic Advance

It is the first zone in Sonic Advance as Neo Green Hill Zone (ネオグリーンヒルゾーン Neo Gurīn Hiru Zōn) with a beach setting.

Sonic Adventure 2

Know as Green Hill is a bonus stage created to commemorate the 10th anniversary. Some of the sound effects of jumping and defeating enemies are the same as those of that time.

However, the condition for unlocking this stage is very hard as you need to get all A-ranks.

Super Smash Bros.

Sonic's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl had the zone show up as a stage. The stage is presented as a 3D stage with depth while following the design of the original.

Tails, Knuckles, and Silver occasionally run through the shuttle loop in the background.
