Jirai Kei (地雷系 lit. "landmine-type") is subculture and/or fashion trend in Japan that appeared during early 2020. The term is used to describe people who "tend to cause trouble." In other words, it refers to people who might have an attractive appearance, but also have a troublesome personality.
The outfits associated with Jirai Kei often resemble lolita and kawaii styles. They commonly feature a combination of black with a muted secondary color such as pink.
