The character is based on the South Park co-creator Matt Stone himself. He is one of the few Jewish kids in South Park, the only one in town who doesn't go to church on Sundays, and celebrates Hanukkah instead of Christmas with Cartman making fun of his Judaism. Although he is Jewish, he is flexible and has an understanding of other religions such as Christianity.
Appearance
When he takes off his greenish lime ushanka, he has curly red hair like broccoli with a natural perm, and he has a complex about it, so he doesn't take it off even when he sleeps or goes to the pool.
He also wears a bright orange jacket with a dark green collar, dark green pants, lime-green mittens and black shoes.
Personality
He is calm, has excellent grades, and has good sense, but he is also nervous, logical, and quick to lose his temper. Because of his pure-heartedness, he often regrets and worries about his pranks, and feels guilty even when he is not directly involved. Because of this, he is easily brainwashed by religious groups or groups with biased ideas.
In the early days, he was even more of a radio personality than the other characters, but he gradually established his position as an intrusive character. He also assaulted adoptive Ike, by kicking him with Kick the Baby, but before long they became as close as real brothers.
In recent years, even Stan has become the most sensible of the four main characters, with many odd behavior.
He has a cousin named Kyle Schwartz, who is a very stereotypical Jewish boy (weak lungs, athletic, glasses, logical, hard on money, annoying, etc... This is Kyle's own statement, not the writer's bias). When he first appeared, his mother had to call him "Kyle Two". He has a lot of luck, as he always comes back to Kyle's house, even though Kyle tries to get him out of South Park.
