The F-4S Phantom II is the last US Navy and USMC variant of the F-4 built. The F-4S served in frontline squadrons until the late 80s. Among these squadrons were the forward deployed CVW-5 squadrons VF-151 and VF-161, with both squadrons replacing them with the F/A-18A Hornet.
