The Los Angeles-class submarine is a class of Nuclear attack submarines. 62 were built between 1972 and 1996, with only 26 in service as of 2023. The Los Angeles-class were used to track Soviet SSBN submarines during the Cold War but didn't see action until the Gulf War in 1991.
