Overview
The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a Soviet supersonic fighter. The Fulcrum was designed to counter the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the F-15 Eagle.
The MiG-29 entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in 1983. Many MiG-29s were also operated by the PVO Strany. North Korea, Iraq, Syria, India, Poland and East Germany were also notable users of the Fulcrum.
In Fiction
- Several MiG-29s appear in the first episode of Macross Zero. A modified MiG-29 also appears in the final episode.
- The main character of the manga Red Prowling Devil flies a red MiG-29. This was later referenced in Ace Combat 04.
