The Dassault Mirage F1 is a French-built Fighter-interceptor and Fighter-bomber. The Mirage F1 was originally operated by the French Air Force (French Armée de l'Air). It was also exported to a number of nations including Bathist Iraq, Libya, Kuwait (which would be invaded by Iraq in 1990), Qatar and Apartheid South Africa. Iran managed to confiscate several Iraqi Mirage F1s that fled during the Gulf War.
