Nahida is a 5-star playable Catalyst Dendro character in Genshin Impact.

She is the vessel of Buer, as Lesser Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon. Having been freed from her extensive confinement in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, she now strives to have a stronger presence in Sumeru.

  • Normal Attack: Akara
    1. Normal Attack: Performs up to 4 attacks that deal Dendro DMG to opponents in front of her.
    2. Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Dendro DMG to opponents in front of her after a short casting time.
    3. Plunging Attack: Calling upon the might of Dendro, Nahida plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Dendro DMG upon impact with the ground.

  • Elemental Skill: All Schemes to Know

Sends forth karmic bonds of wood and tree from her side, dealing AoE Dendro DMG and marking up to 8 opponents hit with the Seed of Skandha.
When held, this skill will trigger differently.

Enters Aiming Mode, which will allow you to select a limited number of opponents within a limited area. During this time, Nahida's resistance to interruption will be increased.
When released, this skill deals Dendro DMG to these opponents and marks them with the Seed of Skandha.
Aiming Mode will last up to 5s and can select a maximum of 8 opponents.

Seed of Skandha
Opponents who have been marked by the Seed of Skandha will be linked to one another up till a certain distance.
After you trigger Elemental Reactions on opponents who are affected by the Seeds of Skandha or when they take DMG from Dendro Cores (including Burgeon and Hyperbloom DMG), Nahida will unleash Tri-Karma Purification on the opponents and all connected opponents, dealing Dendro DMG based on her ATK and Elemental Mastery.
You can trigger at most 1 Tri-Karma Purification within a short period of time.

  • Elemental Burst: Illusory Heart

Manifests the Court of Dreams and expands the Shrine of Maya.
When the Shrine of Maya field is unleashed, the following effects will be separately unleashed based on the Elemental Types present within the party.

  1. Pyro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification from "All Schemes to Know" is increased.
  2. Electro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the interval between each Tri-Karma Purification from "All Schemes to Know" is decreased.
  3. Hydro: The Shrine of Maya's duration is increased.
If there are at least 2 party members of the aforementioned Elemental Types present when the field is deployed, the aforementioned effects will be increased further.
Even if Nahida is not on the field, these bonuses will still take effect so long as party members are within the Shrine of Maya.

  • 1st Ascension Passive: Compassion Illuminated
When unleashing Illusory Heart, the Shrine of Maya will gain the following effects:
The Elemental Mastery of the active character within the field will be increased by 25% of the Elemental Mastery of the party member with the highest Elemental Mastery.
You can gain a maximum of 250 Elemental Mastery in this manner.

  • 4th Ascension Passive: Awakening Elucidated
Each point of Nahida's Elemental Mastery beyond 200 will grant 0.1% Bonus DMG and 0.03% CRIT Rate to Tri-Karma Purification from All Schemes to Know.
A maximum of 80% Bonus DMG and 24% CRIT Rate can be granted to Tri-Karma Purification in this manner.

  • Utility Passive: On All Things Meditated
Nahida can use All Schemes to Know to interact with some harvestable items within a fixed AoE. This skill may even have some other effects...

  • Level 1: The Seed of Stored Knowledge

When the Shrine of Maya is unleashed and the Elemental Types of the party members are being tabulated, the count will add 1 to the number of Pyro, Electro, and Hydro characters respectively.

  • Level 2: The Root of All Fullness
Opponents that are marked by Seeds of Skandha applied by Nahida herself will be affected by the following effects:
  1. Burning, Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon Reaction DMG can score CRIT Hits. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are fixed at 20% and 100% respectively.
  2. Within 8s of being affected by Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, DEF is decreased by 30%.
    • Level 3: The Shoot of Conscious Attainment
Increases the Level of All Schemes to Know by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Level 4: The Stem of Manifest Inference
When 1/2/3/(4 or more) nearby opponents are affected by All Schemes to Know's Seeds of Skandha, Nahida's Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100/120/140/160.
  • Level 5: The Leaves of Enlightening Speech
Increases the Level of Illusory Heart by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Level 6: The Fruit of Reason's Culmination
When Nahida hits an opponent affected by All Schemes to Know's Seeds of Skandha with Normal or Charged Attacks after unleashing Illusory Heart, she will use Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion on this opponent and all connected opponents, dealing Dendro DMG based on 200% of Nahida's ATK and 400% of her Elemental Mastery.
DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion is considered Elemental Skill DMG and can be triggered once every 0.2s.
This effect can last up to 10s and will be removed after Nahida has unleashed 6 instances of Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion.

When the Traveler and Paimon (Genshin Impact) first meet Nahida in the Sabzeruz Festival samsara, she was an elusive and secretive individual. She voluntarily left ruling the city to the sages, though like in cases with the samsara, she would intervene as best she could if they stepped out of line. She also suffered from very low self-esteem as a result of the way the sages treated her. However after the downfall of the sages and the cleansing of Irminsul, many of these traits have minimized or vanished. She now openly wanders around the city, when she has time, and interacts with her people and has an overall far more genuinely cheerful view of herself.

Despite her previously difficult circumstances, when she spoke to people she rarely revealed her sadness. Then and now she almost always maintains a gentle and kind demeanour when she speaks to others, and treats everyone as equals. However she also admits that her social skills and understanding of human interaction needs work, and she's prone to slightly eccentric speech and behaviour as a result. She also professes a fondness for analogies and frequently makes use of them when attempting to explain things to others. Like many in Sumeru, she believes in helping people come to answers on their own, particularly regarding heavier truths, rather than providing all the answers. As a result she's also prone to peppering her speech with a mixture of analogies and subtle clues about things she wants others to learn.

As the God of Wisdom, however, Nahida's most notable traits are her exceptional intelligence, knowledge, and planning. She's capable of creating extremely thorough, multi-layered plans and can even be a little manipulative if the situation calls for it. She's also capable of making plans in a pinch, as shown when she bartered with Dottore (Genshin Impact). Perhaps most of all, Nahida is skilled at realizing when her intelligence is required and when her kindness is required, or both.

Commenting on a god might be overstepping my position a little... But when I was working with her, I personally witnessed her wisdom, courage, and determination. Compared with those sages who constantly undermined and criticized her without a shred of evidence, I think I can provide a more reliable assessment: She is an exceptional deity who is worthy of everyone's respect.

One should neither dismiss nor overly revere the divine. Gods require followers, and they are also part of a biological hierarchy. That's why I don't take any pride in the fact that I helped rescue a god. I hope Lesser Lord Kusanali doesn't take offense.

Perhaps it is a testament to the Dendro Archon's benevolence that I, a descendant of the Al-Ahmar bloodline, am able to live peacefully on this land. If so, I suppose I am grateful for this much, but... I am first and foremost a child of the desert.

The Dendro Archon... When I was a kid, there were so many times when I just wanted to scream out to the gods and ask them why, why did I have to go through so much pain...? sigh But, for all I know, maybe the gods feel just as helpless about everything they have to endure as I did back then.

In Sumeru, Lesser Lord Kusanali has very few believers. Hmm? Am I one? Heh, if she's willing to pay me, I'd be her loyal believer for all eternity.

Knowledge is naturally something that cannot be limited or restrained. It's like how Kshahrewar can utilize Haravatat's research findings. All scholars will be grateful to Lesser Lord Kusanali for releasing the Akademiya— no, the entire City of Wisdom from the shackles of selfish desires. All who thirst for knowledge are now afforded the opportunity to search for treasures in the vast sea of knowledge.

Dear Mighty God of Wisdom, I've been studying late into the night for days on end, please let me pass this exam! Please, please... Zzz...

I'm going to turn in early tonight, hope I can actually get to sleep... Dear Mighty God of Wisdom, please bless my slumber, I pray. Okay. Closing my eyes now.

The people of the Great Bazaar love Lesser Lord Kusanali. I'd love to hear her thoughts on my Dance of Sabzeruz... Oh, no, no, forget it... If she were in the audience, I'd get stage fright...

As a student, I once heard this saying: "Plants and the Land of Dendro share the same history." It could just be one of those things that people say, but I've always felt that there's a deeper meaning to those words... If I meet Lesser Lord Kusanali one day, I wonder... if she would explain them to me?

Paimon: Have you noticed something? People in Sumeru don't seem to have a lot of faith in Lesser Lord Kusanali.
Paimon: Back in Liyue and Inazuma, people were pretty enthusiastic about Rex Lapis and the Almighty Shogun.
Paimon: Those strange scholars are one thing, but even everyone living downtown only ever seems to talk about Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.
(Traveler): Yeah. (And/That's true... Even) the most delicious mushrooms are said to be Greater Lord Rukkhadevata's blessing.
Paimon: Speaking of which, lots of the dishes in Liyue are said to have been taught and approved by Rex Lapis himself...
Paimon: Aha! So as long as a god blesses their people with delicious food, people will worship them!
(Traveler): Hehe, if their name is Paimon, sure.
Paimon: Huh? Wait, so... (Traveler), what do you believe in, then?
(Traveler): Me? Hmm... Paimon, of course.
Paimon: Heehee, that's right!

While I still had value as a pawn, she might have had other reasons to keep me alive. It's certainly possible that it was because she's wise or benevolent, or happened to see a hint of loneliness within me... You think I'm trying to think the worst of her? Hah, did you really expect anything else? In case you've forgotten, I'm no saint.

It's a pity that Lesser Lord Kusanali already forced him to erase so many of his segments. The joy I would have derived from slicing them apart one by one...

The first thing you think of when you hear "Dendro Archon" is her power over dreams. Her dreams are akin to my ballads: full of emotion and imagination. It goes without saying that we get along really well.

I admire her humility; it is a sign of true wisdom. With the power she holds, Buer is capable of doing many things beyond our wildest imaginations... and yet, she uses her power only to right wrongs and to protect. She is a truly gentle god.

As well as ruling over all of Sumeru, the God of Wisdom, Buer, has a duty to guard Irminsul. Only one who possesses great wisdom could hope to shoulder these responsibilities. All life in Teyvat owes her gratitude for saving Irminsul.
