Overview
Nintendo anime (任天堂 アニメ) refers to any animated of Nintendo works usually made by Nintendo. This is due to the word anime itself is a Japanese abbreviation for animation, so anything animation related is often called anime in Japan. On that note, while not a Japanese work the Donkey Kong Country has quite the fan base in Japan that it has a manga and collectible card game series.
