Overview
OS-kuns (OS息子, OS musuko, lit. OS Boy) are character personification of operating systems (OS) of a personal computer.
They where created as a suggestion to create a male version of the OS-tans, the first personification of an OS.
At first, the relationship between them and OS-tans was not disclosed, but later it was decided that they are elder (or younger) brothers.
For example, for Windows 2000 Professional, 2k-kun is the older brother and 2k-tan is the younger sister, while in XP (Home Edition), Homeko is the older sister while Homeo is the younger brother.
