Overview
We-tan (We-たん), also known as Taeko-san (妙子さん, Japanese spaces tend to drop the san suffix so it more just 妙子) is a unofficial OS-tan character.
She was created as a substitute when the Me-tan character was undergoing copyright issues.
She has a husky voice based off of Geronimo from Kinnikuman.
Background
Following in the footsteps of her father, who wanted to become a DOS, she moved to Tokyo with the goal of becoming an OS, but was unable to do so, and settled for being an anthropomorphic character for the Nintendo Wii.
She works at Teikoku Shoji where she is in charge of the management and operation of the company's internal network, and is also involved in the planning and development of various applications.
She seems to have several software patents under his own name.
In addition to working for Teikoku Shoji, she also worked as a part-time companion at game shows and did voices for eroge doujins (erotic games) with the stage name Yamada Kuzuha (Yamada-san's real name). When Yamada-san found out, she got angry at We-tan.
There is a theory that she is from the same hometown as Modoi-san.
Appearance
She looks a lot like her counterpart but has contrasting elements. One common thing is her two parted braids with an ahoge on top but in the color pink than green.
The downward-pointing triangle badge on her dark purple ribbon has question mark than an exclamation mark. Her maid dress is also purple with a white apron in front.
