Overview
Dragon children (竜骸, ryuugai) are mysterious being that connect with the minds of people called dragon bearers (mainly teenage boys and girls) and exercise various abilities, such as flying and creating specific substances by copying and taking in molecular arrangements. Unlike ordinary dragons, these beings vary in appearance, from star-shaped like Hoshimaru and Ensof, to irregularly shaped like Amapola, to humanoid like Hainuwele and Oni. The 骸 means corpse because they do not have souls, once a bearer dies their dragon will finally take in the soul of their bearer. The linked person to whom the soul is passed becomes a being called Otohime.
