History
In the English-speaking world, the two pioneers are Ironmouse and Zentreya, who started their activities in 2017 as individual forces at that time in the early days of the project.
In December 2019, English-speaking Coco Kiryu debuted from Hololive as a member of the then newest group, the 4th generation, and it was a catalyst for Hololive, which at the time had some international popularity and was just beginning to promote itself to English-speaking countries, to gain instant attention.
It should also be remembered that the technological progenitor of this technology is emotion capture, which was developed for the filming of the movie Avatar.
James Cameron can be considered the father of all VTubers.
