Overview
Koppai (コッパイ星, Koppai Hoshi, lit. "Planet Koppai") is the home planet of Alph, Brittany, and Charlie from Pikmin 3.
The planet is currently on the verge of a food crisis due to the explosive increase in population caused by the fifth baby boom and the poor planning characteristic of the Koppai aliens.
They are also said to be extremely picky eaters and will eat nothing but fruit.
In the past, a greedy Britney tried eating vegetables from the planet Hocotate, but it was apparently not to the liking of the Koppai alien.
Unlike the Hocotate aliens, who consider oxygen poisonous, the planet's atmosphere contains oxygen (albeit in a lower concentration, about 1/3 that of PNF-404, where the Pikmin are located), so unlike in the first case, it is not impossible to continue the survey due to the life support system's battery running out.
However, due to the intolerant nature of the Koppai aliens, they will not be able to endure even one day when their food supply runs out, and at that point it will be impossible to continue the investigation (game over). It is unknown why Charlie, who had been in the belly of a Vehemoth Phosbat for several days, was not tormented by hunger, while Britney slept in the safe zone.
The name comes from Nintendo's founding name, "Nintendo Koppai".
