Overview
Ice Pikmin (氷ピクミン, Kōri Pikumin) is a light blue Pikmin new to Pikmin 4 that were announced at the Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2011. Their flowers are yellow.
Their bodies are covered with ice, but they are thinner and more nimble than Rock Pikmin, which have a similar body shape. When they first appear, they have a mischievous side, spinning and slipping on their butt of the ice.
From the Japanese katakana name, it seems to be a type of Resident Pikmin just like the Rock Pikmin, but it appears to be a different species, with endless cold air gushing from the core of its body. This prevents it from melting even in warm regions, but is it the result of its original adaptation to cold regions?
As of the trial version distributed on June 29, no Onions could be found, and the only way to increase the number of onions is to find wild Ice Pikmin in the caves.
It seems that in this game, it is possible to move them from the Master Onion in and out without any problem even if the corresponding ice onion has not been found.
