Marshadow is one of the Mythical Pokemon that appears in the Pokémon series. It first appeared in the "Sun & Moon" series, which is set in the Alola region.
It has the appearance of a child wearing a helmet, and its dark gray body flickers like a cloud. It is very cautious, always hiding in someone's shadow, and never appears in front of people.
Because of this, it is said to have a weak, timid, and shy personality, but on the other hand, it is merciless towards its enemies, and can show a cruelty that does not match its cute appearance.
It also has a Fighting-type ability like shadow boxing, where it learns and copies the movements and powers of the owner of the shadow it has infiltrated and makes them its own, and a Ghost-type side that interferes with the minds of people and Pokémon through shadows.
During battle, when its fighting spirit flares up when it activates a move, the parts that correspond to its helmet, scarf, and knuckle guards change to a green flame-like gradient, and its eyes also change to a blazing, dignified look.
Marshadow has appeared in anime, manga, and mobile games, but its appearance varies. It made a small appearance in episode 57 of the sixth anime series, but had no scenes with Ash. In the manga, it plays the lead role in a one-shot, and in the mobile game, it is a playable Pokémon as Korrina's partner Pokémon.
In the movie "I Choose You!", released in 2017, it appears as the final boss Pokémon for Ash and friends. For this reason, some say that people who have read the manga and played the mobile game will have a different impression of Marshadow when they watch this movie.
