Overview
Metal Sonic (メタルソニック Metaru Sonikku) is a robot modeled after Sonic and created by Dr. Eggman. His first appearance was in Sonic CD released on the Mega-CD. Like Amy, he appeared before Knuckles.
In Japanese he is voiced by Jun'ichi Kanemaru in Sonic Heroes and Masami Kikuchi in the Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, both voice actors who portrayed the original Sonic.
Personality
He is in tune with Dr. Eggman's will, but he has an ego and acts partly on his own initiative.
Abilities
Not only he looks almost identical to Sonic, he boasts speed and fighting strength on par with Sonic. He protects himself with his Black Shield (ブラックシールド Burakku Shīrudo), and with his Overdrive (オーバードライブ Ōbādoraibu), he can accelerate at a moment's notice, and with his Air Boost, he can even fly.
