Shogakukan (小学館, Shōgakukan) is a general publisher in Japan. The company was founded in 1922 and established in 1945.
As the name suggests, the company was founded as a publisher of study magazines for elementary school students, but today it publishes a wide range of books and magazines, including manga, literary and educational books.
The company has a collaborative relationship with Shueisha as an anime production company and licensing (copyright) business.
