Overview
XP-tan (XPたん, XP-tan) is the personification of the Windows XP. She is one of the more known OS-tans and is often shown with Me-tan, 2k-tan and 95-tan.
Appearance
Since she needs more than 512MB of memory for her resource requirements, it is a common belief that memory size = breast size. At first, she was wearing a blue bikini and skirt, but after the appearance of Windows Service Pack 2 (SP2), she started wearing the current tricolor outfit.
There is a character known as Komepo that is a player two color palette swap of her.
Personality
It is difficult to say about her personality, but she seems to be a combination of gentle and mild-mannered (perhaps because of the high stability of the system).
She is also known as a gluttonous character along with Shipon and Gyoza-hime, she is often seen begging for food from Kakkou. Her favorite food is gyudon. She is banned from restaurants that offer free meals if she succeeds in eating a large meal.
Fan art of her often shows her eating blows of rice.
Etymology
The original nickname of Saseko (させ子, Saseko) is based on the fact that x and p become sa and se respectively when typed in Kana, but some people do not like to use this and call her Pekeppi (ぺけぴー, Pekeppi).
