Overview
Chinese cuisine (中国料理, Chūgoku ryōri) refers to cuisine that originated in China.
Usually this tag is attached to pictures depicting a Chinese, primarily Han Chinese (which may include Hui and other ethnic minority cuisines) traditional dish. For Japaneseized dishes of Chinese origin, go to Chinese food.
For Chinese people who grew up in China, the dishes served at Chinese restaurants in Japan often look similar but have a very different aroma and taste, and they often feel that the dishes with the same name are different from those in China. However, with the increase in the number of Chinese living in Japan, restaurants that serve the authentic taste of China have appeared, especially in metropolitan areas such as Tokyo.
