Overview
Jake (ジェイク, Jeiku), is a yellow dog, Finn's brother and best friend who was raised with him since childhood.
He has a mysterious ability to transform his body and change its mass at will, and supports Finn in his adventures.
Personality
His personality is a combination of a high energy teenager and a slightly badass old man, and unlike the straightforward and serious Finn, he tends to think in terms of ease and cheating. He is a manly nice guy, proud and competitive, but somewhat calculating and lacking in concentration.
He has a big brotherly personality and is always there to give Finn advice on everything from love to adventures, but he also has a natural tendency to be a bit of an idiot and is strangely quick to give up and accept reality.
He is quite a gourmand and likes to take advantage of his flexibility to eat large quantities of food. He is an accomplished viola player and enjoys playing it as a hobby. In contrast to Finn, he is used to dealing with women and has Lady Rainicorn as his girlfriend.

Parents
His parents, Joshua and Margaret, are yellow dogs that look just like Jake. However, Jake himself is not a normal son of Joshua and Margaret, but was born from a bump that was created when Joshua fought a transforming monster, so he inherited not only his father's DNA but also the transforming ability of the monster.
Lady Rainicorn
In the early episodes, he is seen in a relationship with Lady Rainicorn, and they showed their passionate love by flirting with each other in public.
He was a proud father at first, but his children grew up at an extraordinary speed, learning to speak within a few days, and after a few episodes they became adults and became independent (of course, they inherited their parents' special abilities).
In addition, they said the parents were no longer needed, so he returned to the treehouse with Finn and BMO.

General
Despite the many fan art of Adventure Time characters in different art styles, a lot of the time Jake will still look like he does from his official appearance.
Crossover Works
Fate/Grand Order
In Japan there has been some crossover works of Jake from Adventure Time and (usually) the swimsuit version (the 3rd ascension) of Abigail Williams from Fate/Grand Order due to both characters having a connection to singing about pancakes. Because of that connection the art of them is them having pancakes.
For Abigail Williams, in her 3rd ascension, her favorite food is pancakes and she has her own song about it.
For Jake, in the episode "Burning Low", Jake makes pancakes with bacon while signing a song called "Bacon Pancakes". This became a very catchy song among fans, some have even try to make their own bacon pancakes.
This is the Japanese version as some try to compare to the two songs together.
