Overview編集

Mighty the Armadillo (マイティー・ザ・アルマジロ Maitī za Arumajiro) is an armadillo from the Sonic series who likes to travel. This character appeared in the arcade game SegaSonic the Hedgehog, which was released in 1993.

Concept and Creation編集

Like Dr. Eggman, he was originally created when Sonic was created, after Sega diverted another character designed with an armadillo motif as a candidate.

Appearance編集

Mighty is an anthropomorphic armadillo with a red shell going from his head to his lower back. His body is black while his ears, muzzle, arms and front torso are a tan-yellow. He has black pupils while his modern design in the Archie Comics and a post from the Sonic social media has blue eyes.

After the transition to the Modern Sonic Era, he did not appear again, partly due to the renewal of the setting, but he did make a reappearance in Sonic Mania, albeit in a classic design.

Personality編集

He is usually calm and averse to conflict, but when he is in a tight spot, he shows his unexpected power.

Abilities編集

In SegaSonic the Hedgehog, he only performed the same actions as Sonic, but when he appeared in Knuckles' Chaotix, he began to perform his own unique actions, such as sticking to walls and jumping from a triangular angle.
