Neco-Arc (ネコアルク, Neko-Aruku) is the first character that even the staff can no longer control, and she is the embodiment of the production staff's spirit of mischief. You, too, should have cat ears. Her appearance is a cat-like version of Arcueid in a severely deformed form having the same voice actor as her. Her gender is listed as "……What……?" (from Melty Blood Act Cadenza PS2 site) and in the remake as cat (from Tsukihime Material I). She first appeared in the Tsukihime's bad-ending section, Teach me, Ciel-sensei!, in which she appeared as an assistant to Ciel-sensei.

Due to the urban legend that there are six Neco-Arcs, several people played the role in the CD drama version and a few female voice actors participate to voice like her voice in the A Day of Ahnenerbe CD drama. Incidentally, it was at that time that Joji Nakata was half-jokingly asked Jouji Nakata do the voice, and this was the impetus for the creation of....... She lives in the Great Cat Village (GCV) underground, where these jokers live in abundance, though it seems to get smaller and smaller each time she appears

Her free-spiritedness is unparalleled in Type-Moon history, and she is a character who is made a complete and utter joke, like the rightful owner of a prank. Her activities are wide-ranging, including guest appearances in the aforementioned Melty Blood and even Fate/tiger colosseum UPPER, both of which are simultaneously affiliated with Type-Moon. Even though she was made a joke character, she has gradually been treated better and better, and is now a mascot of Type-Moon.

Despite her Japanese name still being written as neko (cat) she is meant to be pronounce as neco.

In the past some fans mistakenly written her name with the first part as a kanji. This can be seen on a few old websites.

猫アルク

A case where her name is in kanji.

Background

She has been swamped by her natural enemies and many others, has been beaten to a pulp by Neco-Arc's eternal rival for the clan, and is even receiving one-sided and unaware endearment from a violent violinist.

To top it all off, she was captured by a haughty housekeeper and subjected to biological experiments, was treated roughly by a mecha maid who took great pains to follow her, and was trampled on by the expected princess of the Neco Kingdom, and a stated tsundere by Neco-Arc, sister in a school uniform.

In Melty Blood: Type Lumina she and Mash Kyrielight team-up and also shows up in the boss rush mode putting Miyako in the Tsukihime remake story.

Appearance

As stated, the appearance of Neco-Arc takes after Arcueid, such as the red eyes, short blonde hair and white turtleneck, but as a pint-size cat "girl". The features that are like a cat includes her ears, tail, eyes, and mouth. Her paws are usually hidden from view, but they are as plump as its name, Neco-Arc Paw Pads (ネコアルク肉球). Without paws visible her hands are usually in a ball shape.

Doujin Version

猫っぽい何か

Her purple skirt can make her look like rocket when she flies with flames below. She is most likely wearing black leggings like Arcueid on her lanky legs but with no shoes, seeing how her feet are shaped this is most likely based off the designs of cartoon characters given her abilities and actions being almost looney tunes. Her legs can also stretch out very long for a kick in Melty Blood.

Her hair doesn't have the extra hair on the top like Arcueid's hair does. The hair from her ears is pink

Remake Version

( Φ ω Φ )

Like how the skirt comes from Arcueid's design, this short blue skirt comes from the remake Arcueid's design. Her legs are a bit more thicker with now brown boots covering the feet.

Her hair is a bit more like the hair from remake Arcueid with the extra hair on the top and two pairs of ahoge. The hair her ears is now white

Personality

Neco-Arc is a very mischievous cat, while she is the partner of Ciel-sensei in Teach us, Ciel-sensei!, she seems to cause a lot of problems for Ciel.

No one knows her relationship with Arcueid. According to her, she is like a Buddha to everyone except Ciel-sensei. Rather or not it is love, she also says that she is the embodiment of Satsuki Yumizuka's dark side, in other words, the main body of Satsuki. Overall she rarely appears to disrupt the mundane world as a personal pastime. She is highly intelligent and works day and night to make the world interesting.

For Neco-Arc, humans are just creatures that make cat food, and she would like to have a long-lasting relationship with them.

The remake version her morals have been updated from the Jurassic period to the Permian (……What……?).

Abilities

Her weapons are sharp claws, True Ancestor beams from the eyes, stretching legs, and daring jets. Flames can come out below her letting her fly like a rocket know as I want to go to the Crocodile Garden (ワニ園に行きたいわたし, Wani-en ni ikitai watashi). With it she can can fly through space but doesn't know how to stop it. Both eyes has 2.0 vision but when shooting a special True Ancestor beam, she loses her vision due to glare. The Ture Ancestor beam is extremely powerful, with a minimum output of 200 watts and a maximum output of 2,000,000 megawatts. However, Neco-Arc cannot think of any use for it other than it being useful for grilling fish

Some believe completely removing the ears will make her become a magnificent True Ancestor. She is listed as the most powerful character in the Nasuverse after Magical Amber and has nine lives.

Her stomach is filled with stomach acid so powerful that it rivals that of Nasu. However, her stomach is 100 times stronger than Nasu. She can shoot flames from the mouth that can destroy everything in her path. The paws can have a healing effect and the tail has punching power. It gets angry when held.

She can an call on an infinite number of friends and even get the Great Cat's Village military unit known as the Elite Neco Corps (エリートネコ部隊, Erītoneko butai).

Neco-arc states her special skills are baseball, swimming, mud policing, and riding off on a stolen motorcycle...she also states her first name being Achishi (あちし)?!

She seems to loop time too in Melty Blood by getting a SOS signal by herself. In Actress Again she gets one from Pluto but ignores it because it has been demoted from a planet to a quasi-planet.

In Melty Blood the size of the character itself is less than half that of other characters, and of course the hit detection is also small, with only lower-level attacks hitting properly.

In addition, the reach and speed of her special moves are excellent and powerful, so if you underestimate her as a joke character, you will be beaten to a pulp. Her performance in the CPU-only Re-ACT version is particularly vicious, and a single mistake can result in a catastrophe.

In Actress Again and later, the special moves have been increased thanks to the style select feature, and the standing and continuous moves have been strengthened.

However, due to her small stature, the reach of her normal attacks is hopelessly short, and if she tries to perform a proper combo, she has to get close enough to be prepared to be thrown. Her defense is low and she is not a good combo player in general, making her a character for advanced players.

But that model was "so last decade", now using the power of "Re:make", being know as Lumi-Arc the Shining Cat. She can make a Luminous Body with Neco Luminous Body Phenomenon (ネコ光体化現象) by jumping left and right rapidly. She now as a smartphone called Neco Packet 2022 (ネコパケット・2022), with using the Fate/Grand Order app she can summon many items and characters.

Variants

ライドンタ〜イ祝、カーニバル!!

For some reason, the number of these groups is increasing regularly, and they all have "too strong" personalities.

Neco-Arc is a Neco Spirit, meaning there are other Neco-Arcs like her. Fans have also made Neco-Arc variants of there own. Here is a list of the most known official ones:

Melty Blood Act Cadenza

Neco-Arc Chaos

Smol Neco-Arc Chaos

CV: Jouji Nakata

Neco-Arc Chaos, also known as Neco Chaos, has an austere and lovely voice, and is a dark, chaotic and hateful antihero. See the corresponding section for details.

Carnival Phantasm

Neco-Arc Bubbles

CV: Kumi Sakuma, Ai Nonaka

According to Neco-Arc, she is the lowest-ranking member of Neco Twenty-seven Cats, and will be restructured soon. She looks similar to the regular Neco-Arc, but has lighter hair color and different color of clothes than the original Neco-Arc. She uses gestures to express all of her intentions, she is mainly seen nodding his head with "Un-Un-Un!!" (or rather, she has never uttered a proper word).

By the way, the ramen she makes ......is so good that all her friends rave about it, but for some reason, when it's in the pot, it looks so bad that it can't be shown off.

Neco-Arc Destiny

CV: Atsuko Tanaka

She is characterized by her so-called "thread eyes", which are basically closed, and her pink hair. Despite her lovely face, she speaks with a melancholy and bewitching tone. In particular, her conversation with the dandy Neco-Arc Chaos has a very adult atmosphere, thanks in part to the people in her life. Yeah, except for the looks.......

She is surprisingly fond of children, perhaps because of her experience in child rearing, as seen in the play. On the other hand, she has a pessimistic side to her, especially when she gets drunk. She says that she has had a hard time in the past, but it is not clear to what extent this is true, as the other members of the group are all quite crazy characters.

Neco-Arc Evolution

CV: Kenji Nojima

When he first appeared, he did not appear to be acquainted with any of the others. Although he has made only a few appearances, he is probably one of the most unique characters among the subspecies that appeared in the same work.

He is characterized by a head of brown hair and a bandana wrapped around his eyes. He also wears a single-lens reflex camera around his neck, and has numerous posters stuck in his backpack and a Phantasmoon paper bag in his hand, an appearance commonly referred to as "creepy-otaku" fashion. With his suspicious behavior, Neco-Arc Evolution seems to embody the negative image of an otaku.

Fate/Grand Carnival

Mystery Neco X

CV: Ayako Kawasumi

She has blue eyes, a ponytail, and a cap with her ahoge hair sticking out. In his hand, he holds a shinai (bamboo sword) with a handle that looks like a holy sword.

Mystery Neco V

CV: Jouji Nakata

They has the appearance of a skull face with horns and a cloak.

Underneath the cloak is a Neco-Arc Chaos pattern.

Mystery Neco W

CV: Ai Nonaka

Dressed as Frankenstein (Fate) she is always cleaning with a broom.

Mystery Neco Y

CV: Atsuko Tanaka

Dressed as Carmilla (Fate), she is framed with an adult atmosphere.

Mystery Neco Z

CV: Takahiro Sakurai

He may be the manager of Ahnenerbe Chaldea, but he seems to be more important than the other cats.

Fate/GrandOrder

Necoco-Necocolight

A command emblem implemented in the Fate/GrandOrder 7th anniversary campaign as a commemorative collaboration.

They looks like the junior heroine of the same work, but it seems to have little to do with Chaldea.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina

Perhaps because of the setup, in Act Cadenza and Type Lumina, it is possible to change the CV of other female characters to the one who was in charge by fulfilling conditions.

Neco-Ciel

CV: Kaede Hondo

Neco-Ciel has a strong rivalry with Neco-Arc and can use the Black Keys.

Neco-Akiha

CV: Shino Shimoji

Parody Neco-Arc of Akiha Tohno.

Neco-Hisui

CV: Kana Ichinose

Parody Neco-Arc of Hisui.

Neco-Kohaku

CV: Yuuki Kuwahara

Parody Neco-Arc of Kohaku.
