Overview
Poison type (どくタイプ, doku taipu) is a type in the Pokémon series. Pokémon may have one to two types, and one type is always a technique.
The affinity of the type is one of the factors that determine the advantage or disadvantage of the battle.
In kanji, it is often written as it is, "毒".
This is one of the types that have appeared since the first generation.
Pokémon that have poison or are made of poison themselves are included as characteristics of Pokémon classified in the poison type category.
Not only poisons from plants and animals, but also harmful substances created by humans are treated as poisons. Some Pokémon are based on insects or plants, while others are based on garbage or sludge.
