Overview
Dark type (あくタイプ, aku taipu) is a type in the Pokémon series. Pokémon may have one to two types, and one type is always a technique.
The affinity of the type is one of the factors that determine the advantage or disadvantage of the battle.
Dark type is one of the types introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver (generation 2).
Because of the timing of their appearance and their type affinity, they are often perceived by players as having the role of being able to compete with the psychic types that had been rampant until the previous work.
