Overview
This game is also the first in the IDOLM@STER franchise to be actually developed specifically as a game for the mobile phone platform. In addition to the original iDOLM@STER girls, the game also featured many more new characters, spanning over 100 idols in total. This game is available in Japan for the following mobile platform : i-mode, EZweb, Yahoo!Keitai, Android, and iOS.
It is also known as "Idolmaster Social Game Version" among its fans.
Game Overview
The game itself plays similarly to it's predecessor games. You play as the producer in this game, and pick an idol and raise them as the super star idol. The character designer of this game is designed by Annin Tofu, who is also the original character designer for the previous Idolmaster games.
While the game concept remains similar, there are significant new features implemented in this game. The available 100+ characters are divided into three categories, Cool, Cute, and Passion. Cool signifies cool and beautiful types, Cute signifies cute and princess types, and Passion signifies energetic and sexy types.
The game system itself plays similarly from what would be seen in most card games for social games: Player would first choose one idol of their favorite types among the 3 given categories, from there players will collect experience points and money for the certain idol. Players will then conduct lessons on the idol to raise them, and also select other idols as their lesson partners.
Players can also choose to raise their special potential by conducting special lessons. Which unlock their special abilities. Once enough lessons conducted on the idols, they may be sent to participate in Live Battle, which they will compete with other idols in order to gain fans. Players may also purchase specific clothes and items to dress up their idol, which a majority of them can be purchased from the official site with payment.
