Overview
This game is also the first in the IDOLM@STER franchise to be actually developed specifically as a game for the mobile phone platform. In addition to the original iDOLM@STER girls, the game also featured many more new characters, spanning over 100 idols in total. This game is available in Japan for the following mobile platform : i-mode, EZweb, Yahoo!Keitai, Android, and iOS.
It is also known as "Idolmaster Social Game Version" among its fans.
Game Overview
The game concept is similar to it's predecessor games. You play as the producer in this game, and an idol will be assigned to you randomly. With the assigned idol, you're raise her as the super star idol. The character designer of this game is designed by Annin Tofu, who is also the original character designer for the previous Idolmaster games.
While the game concept remains similar, there are significant new features implemented in this game. The available 100+ characters are divided into three categories, Cool, Cute, and Passion. Cool signifies cool and beautiful types, Cute signifies cute and princess types, and Passion signifies energetic and sexy types. The player will have to first choose one out of three types in order to continue. Next the player will collect experience points and money for the idol in order to secure funds for their idol training. From there the player will conduct lessons on the idol to raise them, and also select other idols as their lesson partners, earned through working.
Players can also choose to raise their special potential by conducting special lessons. Which unlock their special abilities. Once enough lessons conducted on the idols, they may be sent to participate in Live Battle, which they will compete with other idols in order to gain fans. Live Battle plays very similarly to most online card battle games (hence all idols recruited comes with the form of a card), which the player may assigned up to 5 idol cards in other to battle with other players in order to see who got the most fans in the end. Players may also purchase specific clothes and items to dress up their idol, which a majority of them can be purchased through billing (which adds the money you spent for the items into your phone bill).
