In the second chapter, Yggdra and her army head east in order to search for supporters in allied countries.
But mysteriously enough, those allied countries never offered any help when the kingdom was under attack. When Yggdra and her army set foot in the countries of Embellia and Verlaine and see the civil wars taking place there, they begin to understand why. Hating to watch the useless bloodshed, Yggdra wields her holy sword to end the fighting, but...
In the end, the original mission of "searching for supporters" ends without much success. As the title of the chapter implies, it was all just a waste of time. But as at least two new allies (the Undine girl Nietzsche and Roswell or Rosary) joined the army, it can't be called a total failure either.
