Overview

Sonic and the Secret Rings (ソニックと秘密のリング Sonikku to Himitsu no Ringu) is the first Sonic game released on the Wii and the first in the Sonic Storybook Series. and the initial title of the game was Sonic Wild Fire, and the gallery page shows that many Sonic Wild Fire logos were created. The game is a platformer that was released in 2007 (February in North America and March everywhere else) by Sega and made by Sonic Team with the multiplayer being made by Now Production.

Fans tend to shorten the title to just Secret Rings (ひみリン Himirin).

The game has a rather unique control system with automatic driving and sideways holding of the Wii Remote, but once you get used to it, you can enjoy the integrated control, beautiful graphics for the Wii, dubbed-in Western-style script and phrasing, and a level-up system that makes it as good as or better than the HD version of Sonic Unleashed if you master the game. The game is highly regarded as one of the best games in the Sonic series, and the more you play it, the more you will enjoy it.

Party Mode

As is typical of Wii games, in addition to the story, there is also a party game that can be played by four players (or by one player), providing quite a bit of variety.

The game is often referred to as Sonic's version of Mario Party, but since a similar Sonic party game, Sonic Shuffle, was previously released on the Dreamcast, in a sense it is a self homage to this game.
