Overview
Yuru Yuri (ゆるゆり) is a slice-of-life comedy manga series with a slight yuri flavour, serialised in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime. The author is Namori.
The story is set at Nanamori Junior High School (七森中学校) and centres around the four members of the Amusement Club (Goraku-bu), who use the tea ceremony club room for their activities, as well as other characters such as student council members, other students and teachers.
As of 22 December 2022, 22 volumes have been published.
It is also the first manga in the Yuri Hime manga works to be adapted into an anime.
The anime series has produced a total of three TV anime seasons and two OVAs.

Main Characters
Amusement Club (ごらく部)
- Akari Akaza (赤座あかり)

Although somewhat an unimpressive character, she is the protagonist of this work. She is often made fun of for her lack of individuality in the story.
- Kyōko Toshinō (歳納京子)
(Voiced by: Yuka Ōtsubo)
Mischievous, innocent and energetic girl. She is also an otaku and often goes out of control.
- Yui Funami (船見結衣)
(Voiced by: Minami Tsuda)
Always cool but also loquacious, she is the girl who brings everyone together.
- Chinatsu Yoshikawa (吉川ちなつ)
(Voiced by: Rumi Ōkubo)
A girl who is the most girly character in the work. She also shows a black-hearted side to her personality.
Student Council
- Ayano Sugiura (杉浦綾乃)
(Voiced by: Saki Fujita)
She is a shy, goofy student council vice-president who loves pudding and Kyōko. She can't be honest with Kyōko.
- Chitose Ikeda (池田千歳)
(Voiced by: Aki Toyosaki)
A girl with a Kansai dialect and a considerable taste for yuri fantasies.
- Sakurako Ōmuro (大室櫻子)
(Voiced by: Emiri Katō)
A cheerful, bubbly girl. She is not good at studying and has difficulty concentrating, but is excel at sports. She is also one of the three main protagonist sisters in the spin-off manga "Ōmuro-ke" ('The Ōmuro Family').
- Himawari Furutani (古谷向日葵)

A young lady who aims to become the next vice president of the student council. She is also a tsundere.

As of December 2011, when volume 9 was on sale, the total circulation had exceeded one million copies.
As of 2022, 22 volumes have already been published.
Anime
The first season of the TV animation series was broadcast from July to September 2011 on five TV Tokyo-affiliated stations (excluding TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting) and on AT-X. The second season was broadcast from July to September 2012, with TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting joining the broadcast network.
Subsequently, in 2014, the screening OVA "YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!" was produced and released as a theatre film and OVA.
In August and September 2015, a new TV special "YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!+" was broadcast locally on TV Tokyo, and in October 2015 on AT-X and Tulip TV, whose broadcasting area is Toyama Prefecture, the setting of the work.
The third TV animation season was broadcast from October to December 2015. This was broadcast on six TV Tokyo Network (TXN) stations, AT-X and Tulip TV.
On 13 November 2019, a new OVA was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the original manga series.
