Overview
Love Live! Superstar!! (ラブライブ!スーパースター!!) is a media mix work from the Love Live! series, by KADOKAWA, Lantis and Studio Sunrise (Bandai Namco Group). It is the fourth work in the Love Live! series.
The original story is by Hajime Yatate and the original concept is by Sakurako Kimino.
The story is about the school idols who form a group called Liella! at Yuigaoka Girls' High School in Harajuku, Tokyo.
Anime
The TV animation was broadcast on public broadcaster NHK Educational TV from July 2021.
It is the first program in the Love Live! series to be broadcast simultaneously nationwide in Japan, and airs every Sunday at 7pm.
- The program was suspended for a total of three weeks during the broadcast due to the overlap with the live broadcast of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, which was postponed for one year from 2020, and was suspended again for one week due to the live broadcast of the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, which was also postponed. The final episode was therefore broadcast in October 2021.
Following this, the second season was broadcast from July to October 2022. The broadcaster was likewise NHK Educational TV.
Stuff
The TV series was directed by Takahiko Kyōgoku, and the series composition and script were written by Jukki Hanada. Animation production is by Sunrise.
Character design was by Atsushi Saito and music by Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
