Sonic the Fighters

Sonic the Fighters (ソニック・ザ・ファイターズ Sonikku za Faitāzu) is a 3D fighting game featuring characters from the Sonic series. The arcade version for North America is titled Sonic Championship. The game was planned to be ported to the Sega Saturn at the time, but the release was cancelled.

The basic system is similar to Fighting Vipers. The hitboxes are large, and there are few elements to avoid.

The controls are an eight-way lever and three buttons: Barrier (B), Punch (P), and Kick (K).
